The Golden Horse evoked an idea of elegance and strength, poise and beauty. In celebrating these virtues, we chose to translate it to a concept that showed the same eloquence in its design language. Subtle play of shades in gold permeates the space, lending an air of noble elegance. Chinese marks in the form of octagons are used as ceiling shapes and patterns on walls to deliver a message of prosperity. Large deconstructed Chinese lanterns in brass hang over the dining hall, in yet another quiet nod towards the concept that a Chinese restaurant can be beautifully traditional without resorting to being typical.
