Located in a row of amazing late-40’s shophouses, what was a “pet project ” for a client to spend time at her personal bar to hangout and entertain bar friends turned out into a hip and trendy space for live performances and socializing. We gutted the inside, relocated the staircase and created a bar with a special corner for the hostess to hold court whenever she’s in the house. We also knocked half of the top floor off to highlight the beautiful peak roof and expose the rafter beams. At the back, a wide open platform deck looks into old raintrees lit at night for a spectacular forest-like view.
